Amit Shah to Review Tamil Nadu and Bihar Poll Strategies with BJP Leaders

The BJP, contesting the polls in alliance with the AIADMK after their reconciliation earlier this year, has expressed confidence in the NDA’s prospects in the state.

Senior leaders of the BJP’s Tamil Nadu unit will meet Union Home Minister Amit Shah in the national capital on Wednesday to discuss preparations for the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections.

The meeting, to be held at Shah’s residence, will also see the participation of BJP President JP Nadda and other central leaders. From Tamil Nadu, state BJP chief Nainar Nagendran, former president K Annamalai, Vanithi Srinivasan, and Tamilsai Soundararajan, among others, are set to attend.

The BJP, contesting the polls in alliance with the AIADMK after their reconciliation earlier this year, has expressed confidence in the NDA’s prospects in the state.

Later in the day, Amit Shah will also chair the Bihar BJP Core Committee meeting in Delhi to chalk out the party’s strategy for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections, expected in October–November 2025. Senior Bihar leaders said Shah’s guidance would be crucial in energising the party cadre and ensuring the NDA’s victory.

The Election Commission has yet to release the official Bihar poll schedule.
